Hello,

Is it possible to access a *.SDF file in Windows Application? When i run my sample application, it pops up an error saying "Unable to load DLL 'sqlceme30.dll'"

Hi,
what version - you can read v3 and v3.5 from your desktop.

You need to install from the SqlServer site - take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/editions/sqlmobile/sqlmobileresources.mspx

Hi
look at the dll's or the version number.

Names are confusing as the name has been changed several times.

SqlCE is generally Version2 - that is not accessible on the desktop
SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition is generall version 3.

Look in the windows folder on your device, there are various dll's that begin sqlce followed by the version number. Version 3 and above are accessible on the desktop.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920700 should help

Pete
