devbuzz -> Looking for bloggers and moderators (4/7/2004 11:36:12 AM)

The last month or so I've spent a considerable amount of time upgrading the forums so that I can use them to drive a new ASP.NET content management system I wrote. This was prompted by the following ideas:
- 1) I want to enable a blogging section for the moderators that is RSS enabled. This is a very efficient way to share information. For a demo of the RSS feed see this link - please note it's still in beta - you will see there are some issues with it: Derek's RSS feed
- 2) Everything on DEVBUZZ is databased. The old content management system that shoehorned new articles into the database was too time consuming to administer. This has been holding me back from posting more articles and the main reason I couldn't automate the article submission process. The new system, which will go live sometime in the next two weeks, will let any member submit and upload an article online (with approval of the moderators)
- 3) I wanted to consolidate some of the forums and the new system let me do that really seamlessly.
